Becoming a Bar or Bat Mitzvah happens once in a lifetime (or twice, if you make it to 83!). Marking the occasion requires a great deal of effort and growth by the student , usually over the course of a whole year. Nothing excites me more than watching the student take ownership.  It is so rewarding to be part of the moment when the student “gets it.”

My goal is to help every student strive for excellence in mastering the skills needed to chant the Torah and Haftarah and lead prayers. Achieving these goals is not easy, but in my decade of experience, I have found that every student can do it with the right support and guidance.

Ultimately, I want my students to derive satisfaction and pride from having worked hard to accomplish their goals as well as having learned a lifetime skill that can help them lead the next generation of Jews.
